The icy electronics of Kid A and Amnesiac quickly start to liquefy here—in searing guitar grooves like “Bodysnatchers”—before it all flows like lava into moody love songs that bubble under Yorke’s blistering falsetto. At the time, this clever move ended up overshadowing what may be the band’s most cohesive and romantic album to date.
